By accessing or using FileAm, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Description of Service

FileAm is a financial management and tax compliance platform for businesses and individuals in Nigeria. The service enables users to:

• Record income and expenses, including by voice
• Capture and store receipts, invoices and supporting evidence
• Calculate estimated tax obligations, including Value Added Tax, Pay-As-You-Earn, Company Income Tax, Withholding Tax and Personal Income Tax
• Access informational tax guidance through TaxGPT, our AI assistant
• Prepare filings and track statutory deadlines
• Generate reports on business performance and tax position

FileAm is a technology provider. It is not a law firm, an accounting firm, or a tax authority, and it does not provide legal or accounting advice. Calculations and guidance are informational and depend on the accuracy of the data you supply. See our Disclaimer for the full position.

User Accounts

To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Maintain confidentiality of login credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

FileAm reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent content
• Attempt to breach or disrupt platform security
• Use FileAm for illegal or unauthorized purposes
• Interfere with other users' access to the platform

AI Usage Rules

You agree:

• Not to treat AI outputs as legal advice
• Not to rely on FileAm to conceal income
• Not to manipulate tax outcomes fraudulently

Violations may result in suspension or termination.

Intellectual Property

All FileAm content, software, branding, and technology are owned by or licensed to FileAm and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Users retain ownership of their uploaded content but grant FileAm permission to store and process such content solely to provide services.

Payments and Subscriptions

Where applicable:

• Fees will be clearly communicated before purchase
• Subscription services may renew automatically unless cancelled
• Refunds are subject to our refund policy

Service Availability

We aim to provide uninterrupted service but do not guarantee that the platform will always be available or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

FileAm shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, to the extent permitted by law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the platform.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria unless otherwise required by international regulations.
